Authority & Accountability
The management at Distribution
Construction Co. is responsible for providing
resources, guidance, and training for all Safety,
Health and Environmental Programs.
Managers and
Foremen are held accountable for the overall
implementation and enforcement of programs, but are
authorized to delegate any or all portions of these
programs to subordinates. Nevertheless, they have
ultimate responsibility for jobsite safety and
compliance in regard to all federal, state and local
regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
Distribution Construction Co. strives
to protect our employees and the employees of our
customers. We are committed to providing a work
environment free from recognized hazards through our
Behavior Based Safety process. At Distribution
Construction Co., safe behaviors are reinforced
through management commitment and employee
involvement because safety is one of our core
values.
Contractor & Subcontractor
Responsibilities
As a general contractor, Distribution
Construction Co. is responsible for the safety of
not only its employees, but also the employees of
any subcontractor. Consequently, potential
subcontractors are required to submit a copy of
their safety manual, as well as a Certificate of
Insurance naming Distribution Construction Co. as
additional insured on the Umbrella policy covering
Employers Liability, Comprehensive Liability,
Business Automobile Liability, and Workers
Compensation coverage. This insurance coverage is
to be written through “A-“ or better rated carriers
as indicated by the most current “Best Property &
Casualty Rating Guide” and through carriers
authorized to do business in the State or States in
which the work is performed. The Certificate of
Insurance shall be satisfactory to our requirements,
from each applicable company, showing the required
insurance to be in force, and stating that the
insurance shall not be canceled, non-renewed, or
coverage be materially reduced except upon thirty
(30) days written notice to Distribution
Construction Co. or as otherwise required by the
Prime Contract Document.
